Congregation Remittance Form
All requested information in the “Ministry Information” Section must be completed in order for MIF Synod Financial Services to process your gifts.
Sending Funds to MIF Synod Financial Services
There are three ways that you can send your congregation’s gifts for your Synod to MIF Synod Financial Services:
- By internal transfer from your ministry’s existing MIF account
Indicate on the online Remittance form whether you are including a check for the amount of the synod’s gifts or if you want MIF to withdraw funds from your congregation’s checking account via ACH.
If you make your gifts with a check, a Remittance form must always be included with a check for gifts your congregation makes to the synod. MIF cannot process gifts without a completed Remittance form and a check.
For MIF to initiate an ACH or internal transfer, an Electronic ACH Agreement Form must be completed and on file with MIF.
Please keep a copy of this form and all completed Remittance forms for your records.
MIF Synod Financial Services cannot accept offerings to ministries that are unrelated to your synod or the Churchwide Office. Please send gifts to ministries unrelated to the ELCA directly to those ministries (Salvation Army and Bread for the World, for example).
