A cooler sanctuary. A smaller footprint. A lasting impact.

The leaders of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN were concerned that the lack of air conditioning in their sanctuary created a health and safety risk for members. Their challenge was to find a solution that was both cost effective and consistent with their commitment to the faithful stewardship of resources and care for all of God’s creation. With financing from MIF, they were able to invest in just such a solution: reversible geothermal pumps. Now their sanctuary is more comfortable and they’re one step closer to their goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.
