Generations of worshippers have identified Central Lutheran in downtown Minneapolis with its historic, neo-Gothic sanctuary. When the congregation’s members saw a need to complement that space with a modern, welcoming great room that could be home to Central’s dynamic ministry work, they found a supportive lending partner in the Mission Investment Fund.
The Orange County congregation’s new sanctuary, built with the help of a Mission Investment Fund construction loan, allows for worship indoors and out. It also offers a clear view of a vibrant church community increasingly engaged with its neighbors.

The loan that Trinity Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Florida, took out from MIF didn’t just repair a leaky roof. According to the Rev. Robert Kinley, Trinity’s pastor, it has helped enable the congregation to continue doing what it has done for more than 95 years: provide vital ministry to its community.
Pantry House, the congregation-run food pantry adjacent to Trinity Lutheran Church, has served approximately 1,100 families monthly. Now it’s better equipped to serve even more.
